Messi Scores for PSG, Arsenal Is Back In Form

Hello football fans.

It was an exciting week in football, especially with the Champions League back in action.

UEFA Champions League


Lionel Messi scored his first goal with his new team as PSG defeated Manchester City 2-0.

Juventus defeated Chelsea 1-0.

English Premier League

Arsenal won their third league game in a row this past weekend, defeating Tottenham in the North London Derby 3-1.

Brentford and Liverpool played to a 3-3 draw.

Bundesliga

Bayern Munich defeated Furt 3-1.

Gladbach defeated Dortmund 1-0.

After getting trounced 7-0 by Bayern, Bochum had a better result this week.

Bochum played to a 0-0 draw with Stuttgart.

Freiburg defeated Augsburg 3-0.

Serie A

Fiorentina defeated Udinese 1-0.

Lazio defeated Roma 3-2.

Juventus defeated Sampdoria 3-2.

La Liga

Real Madrid and Villarreal played to a 0-0 draw.

Finally, Barcelona defeated Levante 3-0.

Messi Hurt

Hello football fans.

It was another busy week in football, but first, the headlines.

PSG has confirmed that Lionel Messi has a bone contusion in his left knee.  No word on how long he'll be out for.

Europa League

Leicester City and Napoli played to a 2-2 draw last Thursday.

Bundesliga

Bayern Munich hammered newly promoted Bochum 7-0.

Hertha defeated Furth 2-1.

Dortmund defeated Union Berlin 4-2.

Wolfsburg and Frankfurt played to a 1-1 draw.

Cologne and Leipzig played to a 1-1 draw.

English Premier League

Arsenal is in 13th place after defeating Burnley 1-0.

Chelsea defeated Tottenham 3-0.

Brentford upset Wolves 2-0.

Aston Villa defeated Everton 3-0.

Serie A

Lazio and Cagliari played to a 2-2 draw.

Sampdoria defeated Empoli 3-0.

La Liga

Finally, Barcelona and Granada played to a 1-1 draw.

Champions League Group Stage Begins

Hello football fans.

I got some news before I get to this week's results.

Barcelona's Pedri and Alba both suffered a muscle injury to their thighs.  No word on how long they'll be out for.

The group stage of the Champions League started this week.

Bayern Munich defeated Barcelona 3-0.

Barcelona was flat in this match.

The Liverpool versus AC Milan was more exciting.  

Liverpool won 3-2.

Serie A

Roma defeated Sassuolo 2-1 in an absolute thriller.

Roma is now 3-0 this season.


Roma celebrates the winning goal.

Sampdoria and Inter Milan played to a 2-2 draw.

EPL

Manchester United defeated Newcastle 4-1.  New recruit, Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals.

Manchester City defeated Leicester City 1-0.

Don't look now, but Arsenal finally won their first game of the season.

The Gunners defeated Norwich City 1-0.

Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 3-0.

Bundesliga

Dortmund defeated Leverkusen 4-3 in a see saw battle.

La Liga 

Real Madrid rallied back two times to defeat Celta 5-2.

Academy Player Passes Away.

Hello football fans.

It was international break this week.

As a result, this is a short blog entry.

I do, however, have some really sad news this week.

Juventus Academy player, Bryan Dodien, has passed away from cancer at the tender age of 17.

R.I.P. Bryan.

Mario Mandzukic has retired at 35.

Ronaldo Goes Back To England, Arsenal's Woes Continue

Hello football fans.

On Tuesday, the transfer window closed.

This means I have quite a bit of transfer news this week.

The biggest transfer news this week is Cristiano Ronaldo heading back to England.

That's right.

Ronaldo is no longer with Juventus.  He signed two-year contract with Manchester United.

In other transfer news, Bayern Munich has signed Marcel Sabitzer to a four-year contract.

Manchester City has signed Ruben Dias to a contract that runs through until 2027.

Tottenham has signed Emerson.

Real Madrid has signed Eduardo Camavinga to a contract that runs through until 2027.

Leipzig has signed Ilaix Moriba.

Leeds United has signed Danial James to a 25 million pound contract.

Willian has left Arsenal by mutual consent.

Lyon has signed Jerome Boating to a two-year contract.

Arsenal has signed Takehiro Tomyasu to a long-term contract.

Bundesliga
Erling Haaland scores the winner.



The Match Of The Week goes to Dortmund versus Hoffenheim.

Dortmund's Erling Haaland scored the winning goal in the 90th minute to defeat Hoffenheim 3-2.

Leverkusen defeated Augsburg 4-1.

Bayern Munich manhandled Hertha 5-0.

Wolfsburg defeated Leipzig 1-0.

English Premier League
