Ronaldo Gets Injured

This is a short entry because all the club teams were on international break this week.

I do, however, have an item to share.

Juventus's Cristiano Ronaldo was injured this week, playing for Portugal.

Fear not Juventus fans.  Ronaldo suffered a minor thigh injury.

Brighton Rallies Back In FA Cup Quarter Final




It was a big week for the FA Cup as the tournament was in the quarter final stage.

The Match Of The Week was Millwall verses Brighton.

The first half ended 0-0.

In the second half, underdogs, Millwall, went up 2-0 and looked as if the team was going to the semi finals.

Brighton, however, rallied back.

In the 88th minute, Brighton scored to make it a 2-1 game.

Then, in stoppage time, Brighton scored the equalizer and pushed the match into extra time.

Nothing was solved in extra time.

As a result, the match went to penalty kicks.

Brighton won 3-2 in penalty kicks and are off to the semis.

Manchester City also battle back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Swansea 3-2.

Wolves defeated Manchester United 2-1.

Finally, Watford defeated Crystal Palace in quarter final action.

Barcelona's striker, Luis Suarez is out for two weeks with an ankle sprain.

Liverpool has taken over first place in the English Premier League.

Liverpool is two points ahead on Man. City with 76.

Bayern Munich is still in first place in Germany's Bundesliga league.

Zidane Named Manager Of Real Madrid

Legendary French footballer, Zinedine Zindane, was named manager of Real Madrid this week.

Also with Real Madrid, the club have signed Edin Militaro.

Barcelona's Ousmank Dembele is out for a month with a hamstring injury.

The upset of the week goes to Southampton verses Tottenham.

Southampton came from behind to beat the Spurs 2-1.

Manchester United's winning streak ended earlier this week.

Arsenal defeated Man. U. 2-0.

Manchester City is still in first place of the English Premier League.

As for Bundesliga, Bayern Munich has taken over first place.

Fulham Fires Manager For The Second Time This Year

Fulham sacked Claudio Raneri earlier this week.

With just a single win in two months, Fulham has sacked manager, Claudio Raneri.

This is the second time this season that Fulham have sacked their manager.

Scott Parker takes over.

In other football news, Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior is going to miss two months because of a torn ligament in calf.

The upset of the week goes to Augsburg verses Dortmund in Bundesliga play.

Augsburg defeated Dortmund 2-1.

Dong-Won Ju scored both goals for Augsburg.

Dortmund is now tied for first place with Bayern Munchen.  Both Clubs have 54 points.

Dortmund dominated the Bundesliga earlier in the season.

As for the English Premier League, Manchester City is in first place.  City is within a point of second place, Liverpool.
