Sarri Gets Dismissed. Man. City Back On Top

(Top) Maurizio Sarri was tossed out of a match earlier this week.

Things got a little heated in the Chelsea verses Burnley match earlier this week.

Near the end of the match, Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, was sent off from the sidelines when he lost his cool after hearing a racial slur against him from Burnley's dugout.

Chelsea also lost Callum Hudson-Odoi for the year after he ruptured an Achilles tendon in the 2-2 draw against Burnley.

Hudson-Odoi had to undergo surgery.

Manchester City is back on top of the English Premier League table after defeating their rivals, Manchester United, 2-0 yesterday.

It hasn't been a good week for Man. U.

Everton upset the Red Devils on the weekend by defeating Manchester United 4-0.

Deeney Gets Sent Off. Everton Loses Again

Troy Deeney, (top) got red carded this week in a 1-0 loss against Arsenal


The big news this week is Watford's star, Troy Deeney getting sent off with a red card on Monday, (April 15) after putting his forearm in the face of Arsenal's player, Lucas Torreira.

Watford's manager, Javi Garcia, disagreed with the call and said it ought of been a yellow card, not red.

Watford appealed the decision and lost.

Deeney is going to miss Watford's next English Premier League match.

In other football news, the upset of the week goes to Everton verses Fulham in Premier League action.

19th placed Fulham defeated ninth placed Everton 3-0.

Everton has been really struggling lately.

Liverpool takes over first place in the EPL after defeating Chelsea on the weekend 2-0

Finally, Bayern Munich is first in Bundesliga.

F.A. Cup Semi-Final Action. Upset In Ligue 1



I'm starting this week's entry with F.A. Cup semi-final action.

On Saturday, Manchester City defeated Brighton 1-0.

Brighton is 16th in the English Premier League.  Man. City is in the top two.

For Brighton to lose 1-0 to Manchester City in a huge English football tournament is remarkable.

Man. City was capable of hammering Brighton.

In the second semi-final on Sunday definitely deserves Match Of The Week honors.

Watford rallied back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Wolves 3-2.

There you have it.

It is Wolves verses Manchester City in the cup final.

(Top) Mohammed Salah scored his 50th goal.

In other football news, Liverpool's Mohammed Salah scored his 50th career goal this past weekend.

Finally, the upset of the week happened in France's Ligue 1.

Last place Dijon defeated third place, Olympique Lyonnais 3-1.
