Hello football fans.

Here are this week's headlines.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi injured his adductor of the left thigh.

Manchester United legend, Dimitar Berbatov, announced his retirement this week.

I have results from two exciting matches in Europa League.

PSV defeated Sporting Lisbon 3-2.

Porto defeated Young Boys 2-1.

Liverpool continues to win in the English Premier League.

Liverpool defeated Chelsea 2-1.

Liverpool is first in the EPL. with 18 points and Manchester City is second with 13 points.

Leicester City and Arsenal round out the top four.

Tottenham drops to seventh and Manchester United is eighth.

Watford is dead last.

In Bundesliga, Schalke defeated Mainz 2-1 and Bayern Munich defeated Cologne 4-0. 

Leipzig is first with 13 points and Bayern Munich is second with 11 points.

Dortmund and Freiburg round out the top four.

Paderborn is last.

There was a huge derby in Serie A this past weekend.

Inter Milan defeated AC Milan 2-0 in the Milan Derby.

Inter Milan is first with 12 points, Juventus is second with 10 points, and Napoli is third with nine points.

Roma is fourth.

Florentina is last.

Big Upset In Premier League

Hello football fans.

There was a huge upset this past weekend in the English Premier League.

First, though, I have some items to share.

Billy Gilmour has signed a four-year contract with Chelsea.

David De Tea has signed a long term contract with Manchester United that runs through until 2023.

Victor Lindelof signed a long term contract also with Manchester United.

Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette is out until October because of an ankle injury.

Manchester City's John Stones is out for five weeks with a muscular injury .

Now to the big upset.

Newly promoted, Norwich City defeated Manchester City 3-2.

Chelsea defeated Wolves 5-2.  Tammy Abraham got a hat trick.

Manchester United defeated Leicester City 1-0.

Liverpool continues to win in league play.

Liverpool defeated Newcastle 3-1.

Sadio Manes scored two goals.

Tottenham defeated Crystal Palace 4-0.  Son Heung-Wein scored two goals.

Arsenal and Watford played to a 2-2 draw.

Liverpool is first with 15 points and Manchester City is second with 10 points.

Tottenham and Manchester United round out the top four.

With the big win, Chelsea makes a big climb to sixth place.

Watford remains last.

The match of the week goes to Leipzig verses Bayern Munich.

The two teams played to a 1-1 draw.

Dortmund defeated Leverkusen 4-0.  Marco Reus scored two goals.

Mainz defeated Hertha Berlin 2-1.

Leipzig is first with 10 points.

Dortmund, Freiburg, and Bayern Munich round out the top four.

Hertha Berlin is dead last in Bundesliga.

Inter Milan defeated Udinese 1-0.

Inter Milan is first in Serie A.

Bologna and Juventus round out the top three.

Sampdoria remains in last place.  

Ronaldo Gets Hat-Trick In Win Over Lithuania

Hello football fans.

It was a quiet week in football since it was international break, however, I got my fix with Euro 2020 qualifying action.

Cristiano Ronaldo got a hat-trick for Portugal in a 5-1 win over Lithuania.

The Netherlands defeated Germany 4-2 this week.

There was two managers sacked this week.

First, Watford sacked Javi Garcia.

It is not too surprising that Watford made that decision.

The team is dead last in the English Premier League.

Union Upsets Dortmund. World Cup 2022 Emblem Unveiled

I have quite a bit to get to

Bad luck for Juventus.

The team's captain, Giorgio Chellini, has a ACL. injury and is probably out for six months.

FIFA unveiled the 2022 World Cup emblem this week.

Liverpool won, yet, again.

Liverpool defeated Burnley 3-0.

Tottenham and Arsenal played to a 2-2 draw in a really exciting match.

Chelsea and Sheffield United also played to a 2-2 draw.

Tammy Abraham scored two goals.

Liverpool remains first on the EPL's table with 12 points.

Manchester City is second with 10 points.

Leicester City and Crystal Palace round out the top four.

Arsenal slips to fifth place and Manchester United is in eighth.

Despite getting a point, Watford is still dead last.

Bundesliga

There was a huge upset last weekend.

Union Berlin defeated Dortmund 3-1.

Marius Butler scored two goals.

Leipzig defeated Mönchengladbachs 3-1.

Timo Werner had a hat-trick.

Bayern Munich hammered Mainz 6-1.

Leipzig is now first with nine points.

Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, and Leverkusen round out the top four.

Dortmund, who were in first place two weeks in a row, slips to fifth place.

Mainz remains in last place.

Series A 

The match of the week goes to Juventus verses Napoli.

Juventus went ahead 3-0.

Napoli rallied back to tie the game 3-3 in the second half.

Juventus scored late in the match to win the game 4-3.

Now you know why I've chosen this as the match of the week.

Inter Milan defeated Cagliari 2-1.

With the win, Inter Milan remains in first place.

Juventus and Torino round out the top three.

Sampdoria is in last place.

No club football this week, but there is Euro 2020 qualifying matches being played.
