The Football Mourns Again, Two Managers Get Sacked

Hello football fans.

Here are this week's headlines and results.

This has been an awful year for football.

We've lost quite a few figures this year, including,  Diego Maradona.

Yet, again, the football world lost two more figures this past week.

Late last week, Italian national player, Paolo Rossi, passed away at age 64.

Also, former manager, Gerard Houllier, passed away at age 73.

There were also two sackings this week.

After losing 5-1 to Stuttgart on Saturday, (Dec. 12), Dortmund sacked manager, Lucien Favre.

Dortmund is currently in fifth place in Bundesliga.

Also, English Premier League's West Brom sacked manager, Slaven Billic.

The Match Of Week goes to Wolfsburg versus Frankfurt.

Wolfsburg won 2-1 in a really exciting match.

Leipzig defeated Bremen 2-0.

In a boring Manchester Derby match, Manchester United and Manchester City played to a 0-0 draw.

It was a bad week for Chelsea.

The Blues lost 1-0 to Everton on the weekend and then lost to Wolves 2-1 in stoppage time in the second half earlier this week.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, said in an interview after the Wolves match that he was disappointed with his squad.

Finally in the EPL, Everton upset Leicester City 2-0.

In Serie A, Juventus continues to struggle.

Juventus played to a 1-1 draw against Atalanta.

Inter Milan defeated Napoli 1-0.

Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne received a red card.

Finally in Europa League last week, Celtic defeated Lille 3-2.

That's all I have for you this week.

Stay safe, stay healthy.
